busy bunny

I'm crazy busy today but I just realized that I've left ya high and dry for a few days so here's whats going on...

• Yesterday we tried to help our friends out by taking in their sweet fluffy cat that they can no longer keep. But for some reason this pussy cat flares up allergies in me and already today he is leaving. If you're interested in a gorgeous, big boy cat that is super affectionate than shoot me an email.  I would totally keep him if I could - he's stunning!
• And tonight my friends and I are singing, dancing and serving food in a 50's style dinner theater.  I'm Bunny Sue Milton - head cheerleader and Homecoming Queen shoe-in. But I may just be one french fry short of a happy meal.  You'll just have to go to FH if you want tickets for tonight or tomorrows performance.  It's gonna be awesome!
• I just made my "It's officially summer chore charts" to get my kids involved in helping, teach them a little more responsibility and help them earn some cash for spending.
• We are also getting ready to take a little VACA with our friends to lay by the pool in Vegas and even a lil' Disneyland action while we're over that way.

 God sees what you are going through right now.  It may feel like the world in caving in on you and that you honestly don't think you can handle any more. But I assure you that with His help and power you can stand through much more than your mind can even fathom.  Not only can you get through it victoriously, you can do it with grace.  

I know that life is hard. It would take me weeks to type out all that I've been through in my life but through is the key word.  God could have spared the three Hebrew children from ever going into the fire but He didn't.  He let them pass through the fire and after the fact they were completely unharmed because He never left them.  YES, the fire was fierce and scary and threaten their very existence but with God by their side the were safe.  

When my little girl was so very sick in the hospital for a few years, my Grams would always say, "Jillybean, God will never give you more than you can handle."  And I would reply, "And I remind Him of that daily!"  Ha Ha!  As if God would need reminding of how much I could handle. 

 What ever it is that burdens you right now, picture the pain as the fire, picture yourself as one of those Hebrew children and then picture yourself VICTORIOUS on the other side.  

I'm not sure who this is exactly for today but it was one of those I just had to let lose and write because it was on my heart that someone need to hear these words.  I love ya and I'm only an email away if you need a friend.

today i've asked my handsome husband to be my guest here on the blush by giving his answers  on this little questionnaire that i got from the lovely stephanie.   i'm fighting off a migraine and isn't it just like my sweet guy to jump in and help me out cuz I don't want to leave you without a little blush today.  I haven't read his answers yet and currently I'm holding my breath a little due to the fact that his sense of humor (which can be nice but is usally a bit naughty) will most definitely be making an appearance.     we've gone through a ton. currently have two cats. we once had a cat that got poisoned by our neighbors and was bleeding and dipping stuff from it's eye sockets. it was really sad, but i couldn't put  it out of it's misery ourselves.... so we called animal control and said that we found a stray cat that looks sick and they came and took him away.  sniff sniff.  i got the neighbors back though. i peed in their flower bed.

that whole incident was supposed to stay in the "confidential file" honey...

This song is dedicated to the love of my life.  We heard this song when he was released from the hospital last week and well, it made the tears roll.  

I'm in love with you Isaac Allen and I'm so happy to be the girl you chose to laugh about absolutely nothing with.  Together we have faced it all and we will continue to stand and never fall.

And this is where I am currently spending my evening...

It's my second favorite room in our house.

 Night time truly transforms this room.  It's so cozy in the evening with the golden hues.  I have a giant palm tree in the left corner and a fireplace on the right but you can't see it in this shot.  It's my little oasis from the world.  Everyone agrees that in this room the world gets shut out from the moment you step through that big door and only love and joy remain after you enter through.  I find such peace and comfort here where my family gathers.

Putting this picture up makes me realize... I've never given you all the grand tour. I guess it's about time. So later this week, you can expect me to be hostess for a lil' virtual tour.

Quick Update: Saturday evening

Here's the Scoop:

First of all let me start by saying it is nice to see that smile! Wouldn't you agree?

Tonight has been going pretty well.  I have yet to divulge what exactly has been going on because I didn't want to tell the details without getting the go-ahead from my husband. But now that he's awake (and alert) he's told me that I can fill y'all in.

Isaac has been in the hospital due to pancreatitus - something that he was diagnosed with as a child.  He had a terrible time when he was a kid with this but rarely deals with it as an adult.  Anyways... the pancreatitus was how it started and it was a very intense attack but then it escalated from that to migraine headaches and very high fevers.  He was packed on ice more times than you can imagine to bring down the screaming high fevers.  They figured out that he got e. coli and it progressed into his blood stream and gave him septicemia or blood poisoning which is very, very serious and if you want to know more you can google it. 

Currently they are trying out a handful of antibiotics to figure which one will kick the infection best. Once they figure that out they will hopefully send him home to recover. I'm gonna stay here at the hospital one more night to help take care of my man and then tomorrow home to start resuming some sense of normalcy. 

So, some of you may be wondering why I tell all of this.  Well it's because it just shows the power of God.  Isaac went from a very scary, painful life threatening situation to his current super state of recovery in a very quick amount of time.  I know that it was the hand of God over him the last few days. I know it was God giving us wisdom to even help the docs diagnose him.  I know that without God it couldn't have turned out very different.  We are currently all together right now, watching a movie and enjoying our time as a family. We are blessed beyond measure. Thank you all for standing with us in prayer - we are so grateful for that and know that the Father not only hear but answered those fervent prayers.

Quick Update: Saturday morning

I am so pleased to give you all a happy update!

Isaac is feeling so much better.  He's talking and smiling and revved to get outta here. We haven't seen the doctor yet this morning to see if they will release him or not so that is still up in the air.  We are still waiting on more test results to come in so that will probably be a lot of the deciding factor.  As for pain on a scale from 1-10 he went from a 10 to a 2.

So he's gonna take a shower, go for a walk and then we're gonna catch up on the last couple episodes of Lost. (Holla!)

Quick Update: Friday evening

Today has had it's ups and downs but we are thankful that they have finally come up with a good Rx to help with the crushing headaches that have accompanied this whole ordeal.  He just got a dose of it 10 minutes ago.  Yeehaw!

He's had a good test result so that's super happy news.  There's still a big hurdle we're dealing with but I know that exact remedy for that and it's King Jesus.  So friends, family and dear readers: I am full of hope, faith and joy that this too shall pass.

 I know that perseverance must finish its work so that we may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. I know that the peace that passes all understanding is currently filling this hospital room.  I know that nothing is impossible with God.
